2003 Box Hill Rapid Play Championship incorporating the October Queens & Rookies Cups

• Held as part of the Whitehorse Spring Festival.  The Whitehorse Council is the major sponsor of this chess tournament at the festival.
• Sunday, 19th October from 10:00am to 5:30pm with a lunch break after round three.
• Held in the Waratah Room (fully air-conditioned), Whitehorse Council Centre, 379-397 Whitehorse Road, Nunawading. (Melway 48 G9).
• Please allow plenty of time to find a parking spot.
• Entry fee $20 with $5 concession for juniors, pensioners, students and unemployed.
• Entries close at 9:30am Sunday 19/10/2003.
• Format 7 round Swiss tournament super accelerated.  20 min + 10 sec/move.
• Field limit 120 players.
• Games rated on the ACF rapid play rating list.
• A total of $600 will be distributed in two rating groups with trophies in age groups for Rookies and Queens Cup entrants.  The Rookies and Queens cup trophies will be held by their respective winners until November’s tournament.
• Light meals and refreshments will be available at the festival.
