Fourth term Program

Term 3 has been a good term for students and coaches and we hope that everyone will continue to support the club and the coaching panel in Term 4.

Membership Fees

For those players not yet members they should join now to take advantage of the discounts for coaching and tournaments.

Family membership is now reduced to $20 for the rest of 2008

The fees for this term's coaching are as follows: 

For Canterbury Junior Chess Club members:  $60
for the second child:   $55
For non-members: $75
for the second child:   $70
Casual attendance [per player per session]: $15

4th term dates:

October 7 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm October 21 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm October 28 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm
November 18 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm November 25 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm December 2 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm
December 16 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm    

Please note: The club will not be open on October 14, November 4, December 9 and  December 23.

Elite Sunday Morning Coaching with GM Darryl Johansen and David Hacche at 3 Rochester Road Canterbury

Fourth term details:

When: 6 Sundays during the fourth school term. The lessons are fortnightly except for the final two lessons which are a week apart.
Dates: October 21, October 26, November 9, November 23, December 7 and December 14
Lessons: from 10.30 to 12.00
Fees: $75 for 3 Sundays for Canterbury Junior Chess Club and Box Hill members
No casual attendance available
Group size: maximum 12
Skill levels: For advanced juniors with tournament skills and some theoretical knowledge

Sunday Afternoon Coaching for Novice Juniors and their Parents
at 3 Rochester Road Canterbury

Fourth term details:

When: 7 Sundays during the fourth school term
  October 21, October 26, November 2, November 16, November 23, November 30 and December 7
Lessons: from 2.00 to 3.30pm
Two Groups: One group for Junior Novices, and
  One group for Parents
Group size: Maximum 8 junior group; 12 parents group
Coaches: Rukman Vijayakumar and Derek Yu (Junior Novices)
  Trevor Stanning and Marcus Raine (Parents)
Skill levels: For beginners and those who can play a bit
Fees: Junior novice group: $75/term for Canterbury Junior Chess Club and  Box Hill members
  Parents group: $60/term for parents accompanying children in the junior coaching group
  $15 for one casual lesson for non-members
