Fourth term Program

6 Tuesday evenings during the fourth school term. There are 3 levels of coaching on Tuesdays:

Coaching Groups

Coach
Beginners - for those who just know the moves. Rukman Vijayakumar
Intermediate group - for those who know the moves and more. How to check-mate, how to carry out tactical threats David Hacche
Top group - for those who think they know all. Tactics, strategy, the world is their oyster. Grandmaster Darryl Johansen

Membership Fees

Membership fees have been set at $70 for 2011.

The fees for this term's coaching are as follows:

3rd term dates:

October 18 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm October 25 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm November 15 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm
November 22 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm November 29 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm December 6 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Please note: The club will not be open on November 1, and November 8.

Sunday Coaching

Advanced Group with GM Darryl Johansen

Fourth term details:

We are fortunate to have Darryl Johansen - Victoria’s only resident grandmaster - as coach for 2011.
 
When: 7 Sundays during the fourth school term
  October 16, October 23, October 30, November 6, November 20, November 27, and December 4
Lessons: 2.00 to 3.30pm
Group size: One group with a maximum of 10 participants
Coach: GM Darryl Johansen
Skill levels: For advanced juniors with tournament skills and some theoretical knowledge.
Fees: $TBA/term for 7 week term
member discount $10 for the term
reductions for late starters
Casual attendance: $15 per lesson

Novice and Beginners Group

Fourth term details:

When: 7 Sundays during the fourth school term
  October 16, October 23, October 30, November 6, November 20, November 27, and December 4
Lessons: 2.00 to 3.30pm
Group size: Multiple small groups to take care of all standards; preference for members
Coaches: Canterbury Junior Chess Club Coaching Group
Skill levels: For beginners and those who can play a bit
Fees: $TBA/term for 7 week term
member discount $10 for the term
reductions for late starters
Casual attendance: $15 per lesson
