Canterbury Junior Chess Inc, the junior arm of the highly successful Box Hill Chess Club, was established as a non-profit organisation to develop junior chess in the district in cooperation with the Box Hill Chess Club and seeking the support of the local community.

Parents of junior players are invited to join Canterbury Junior Chess Inc as a family group and have a voice in its organisation. We welcome the involvement of parents and teachers.

We organise coaching and competitions for junior players mainly at the Box Hill Chess Club premises on Tuesdays during the school terms. Children of member families are invited to participate in these activities on a preferential basis.

All the moneys raised by and generated within our organisation go to the development of junior chess in Victoria.
