Child Safe

At Box Hill Chess Club and Canterbury Junior Chess Club, one of our key objectives is to promote and support junior chess in Victoria.

Our junior members are an important part of our chess community. We are committed to providing a welcoming environment where young players can learn, compete, make friends and develop a lifelong enjoyment of chess.

The wellbeing and safety of children is our highest priority. Along with our family-friendly venue and supportive club culture, we are committed to maintaining a child safe environment where all juniors feel respected, encouraged and protected.

To support this commitment, the Club has developed a Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct which outline the standards expected of our members, coaches, volunteers, players and families.
