Child Safe

One of the main objectives of the Boxhill and Canterbury Junior Chess Clubs is to promote Junior Chess in Victoria.

Our junior members are an important feature of our combined clubs and we expend a lot of effort and resource in promoting, coaching and nurturing our junior talent.

We wish to provide them with an environment that encourages the juniors and their parents to take up and continue enjoying chess through to the future. To achieve this objective we, as an organization, must provide a child safe environment. We already provide a child friendly environment with the venue, friendly atmosphere, lots of running around areas away from vehicular traffic, but to further this, the committee has developed a “Child Safe” policy and a “Code of conduct”.
