Rookies Rapid Tournament
The Rookies is one of the club's most popular events, attracting players from across Melbourne each month.
Held on the second Sunday of most months, the tournament consists of 7 rounds with a time control of 13 minutes plus a 2-second increment per move. The event provides an excellent opportunity for developing players to gain tournament experience in a friendly and competitive environment.
Due to the popularity of the event, places are often fully booked within minutes of registrations opening.

If the event is fully booked, please join the waitlist available on the Rookies TryBooking page. Alternatively, we encourage you to check again later. Occasionally, tickets reserved in shopping carts are released back into the system when bookings are not completed.

If you have entered and are unable to attend, please email the registrar at info.BoxHillChessClub@gmail.com by the Wednesday prior to the event otherwise you will forfeit your entry fee.
